Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most rare of all pop stars. She was an artist who could effectively bridge the gap between country and pop while sweeping the globe. Swift left country music like it was a second layer of herself, proving that she's possibly the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. A person who has the ability to tap into the mood of times to make her music personal, and be able to perform at the opposite. Swift's first hits, particularly their neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off her skills. However, her album Fearless showcased a writer who was discovering herself and gaining a huge following. The album was hugely successful not just in America and six of the singles were certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also smashed records across the globe. Speak Now delivered almost two years later consolidated that popularity and pushed Swift to the heights of fame. In the following three years, her fame increased through the years -the albums - Red (2012), Reputation (2014) as well as 1989 (2014-2015) during which time she moved into a realm of pop with her skills already well-established. In the end, when she refocused her music to the stripped-down versions of 2020, Folklore, and Evermore, she still remained at the top. The position was defended by re-recordings from her past catalog, as in Midnights which was her chart-topping synth heavy 2022 album.
