Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born on April 28th 1997) is an American actor and a singer. She began her acting career when she was a teenager. She is most known for her character Maggie Beckett on the TV series Sliders and also in the role of the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror comedy movie Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was born in Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble and worked as a cashier, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer. She has been blessed with three brothers. When she was in her teens She performed in nightclubs in the dark, escaping from home. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School from the age of 13, she was a drama student at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. She was a Brookfield native birthed in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th day of April, 1967. Her father is a German American policeman as well as an auto salesman. Kari was born in an extended family with four children. As a teenager her nightclub, she performed while slipping out for performances. Kari at the time was 13 years old studied at the Wooster School and Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She was also a student in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with a drama teacher who was known for her work as Uta. Kari was introduced to acting at the age of 13, and she got her big break in 1987, when she was featured on MTV Remote Control.
