Laurie Hernandez

Lauren Zoe Hernandez (born June 9 on the 9th of June, 2000) is an American artistic gymnast. In her debut year as a senior gymnast, she competed as a member of the U.S. women's gymnastics team named the "Final Five" during the 2016 Summer Olympics and ultimately, the U.S. won gold in the team competition. In the individual events, Hernandez earned the silver medal for balance beam. After that, she returned to training in the latter part of 2018 and indicated an interest in returning to make it onto the U.S. women's gymnastic team for the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, but she did not qualify for the Olympics Gymnastics Trials. Hernandez who is gymnast, was involved in season 23 of Dancing with the Stars 2016, where she was paired with Val Chmerkovskiy. Hernandez was the host of American Ninja Warrior Junior's first season. She also appeared in the Nickelodeon animated series Middle School Moguls as Valeria. She is the author of two books, I Got This: To Gold and Beyond which is a New York Times Bestseller and She's Got This, a children's book.Oauth
